Wide Vegetable Garden Rows Work Well for Some Vegetables Seeds

Some vegetables grow well when their vegetables seeds are planted in wide rows in your vegetable garden. These are garden peas and bush beans. Although I plant all my other vegetables seeds in long thinly spaced rows, these vegetable seeds grow bountifully from wide rows.

As it happens, these are also my favorite to grow ! Firstly, I use a hoe to make a wide mark along the row in the vegetable garden where I want to plant these seeds. I then sprinkle a very large bag or two of vegetables seeds in the trough, spacing each vegetables seeds about 1″ apart within it. After all the vegetable seeds have been spread, I then cover them with soil to about 1/2″ – 1″ in depth.

If you follow this vegetable gardening tip, it won’t take long before your vegetable garden will have the peas and beans vegetables seeds sprouting. The peas will require staking. If you plant your peas from vegetables seeds early in the spring – March is not too soon is some areas, like the Pacific Northwest, you will be able to do a second planting of seeds for a second harvest in the vegetable garden.

Our family loves my dill pickled bean recipe, so I always plant lots of these vegetables seeds. Because of their small diameter, they can be eaten earlier than cucumber pickles, which need to sit and mature for much longer.
